My name is Christina and I love to bake cookies! I’ve only been living on God’s green earth for 24 years but in the last few weeks I’ve thought of an idea that could change my life forever. I want to bake for people. And children. I follow recipes really well and ever since I was in elementary and middle school I loved to bake chocolate chip cookies. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve branched out to actually making real food in the kitchen with more than 2 ingredients where the recipe wasn’t found on the box. Over the years my passion for baking grew larger than my passion for cooking. I’ve baked cakes, cupcakes, bread, pies, bars, brownies, mochi and cookies. I realized that my go to dessert was cookies. They are 3-bite sized morsels of goodness. I loved only waiting 10-12 minutes for each batch to bake making soft, chewy insides with a slight crunch on the outside, watching the steam lift as you break it in half.
Now, chocolate chip cookies aren’t the only cookies I bake, but they are probably my favorite. Soo, I’m saying my prayers, asking around and I’m setting up shop! With just me, my mixing bowls and my trusty oven, I plan to open up Cookie Baby, where I, Christina, will bake cookies with love for love. I will provide traditional melt in your mouth favorites, along with cookies that combine childhood flavors. Some of the cookies will look like cookies you’ve had before, and some of the cookies will open up a whole new world (or taste bud) you’ve never thought of. I will guarantee that with each batch that’s baked, they are certainly built with love and made for a purpose. Part of the reason I want to start this up is because of the second word in the title..”baby”..and not to limit it to babies, but because of children. There’s a LOT of children in our neighborhood, in our state, in our country and in the world that don’t have a LOT. Children are the future and all they ask for is love, attention, friendship, and guidance..a long with daily necessities. I am very blessed with family and friends and a wonderful childhood, and I would love to see more children have that childhood.
So with all that being said, now you know my name, my purpose and my passion. And in the next few days and weeks and months, you can check back here to find updates on how the new beginnings are going, as well as future orders on cookies I’ve never owned my own company much less sold lemonade on the neighborhood corner, so I have a lot of research and homework to do but I’m pretty excited about the future. I look forward to the ups and downs of the cookie business, I mean, if my God is for me than who can stand against me?
I hope you’ll come back and visit! There will be lots to tell! Until then..
